Thoughtful questions demonstrate your level of understanding, your interest, and your passions, so don't hold back.
Speak honestly and accurately about your experience and qualifications. Keep in mind, exaggeration or embellishing is a form of dishonesty—and it could do more to harm your career than help it.
You’ll typically meet for up to an hour each with three to six people during the interviews, and it’s important to be alert and mentally prepared.
Demonstrate your knowledge of the field
For example, if you’re interviewing for Software Engineer (SWE) or Program Manager (PM):
- During the interview, we’ll ask you to write code. We love to ask questions related to linked lists, arrays, pointers, and such.
- Great PMs have a strong customer focus, creativity, and design skills. Be prepared to answer questions to illustrate yours, such as: What constitutes good design? What technical issues are involved? How would you make sure a design reflects customer needs? How would you improve on an existing design?
Do your research
The most successful candidates have more than a surface understanding of our company and businesses, industry trends, the positions for which they are interviewing, the product they’d be working on, and the market for those products.

If you’re like most candidates we talk to, you want to know what to expect during your interviews and what we’re looking for in you. Here, interviews are a two-way street. We want to get to know you, but we also want to be sure you walk away knowing us, too.

Genuine enthusiasm and a positive attitude can help you make a good impression.
Show your thinking
Be prepared to verbalize how you came up with the answer or solution to a technical issue, design question, or problem-solving puzzle. We're interested in more than just your answers—we want to know how your mind works, how you come up with solutions, and whether you can clearly explain your thinking process.
We’ll ask questions to help us get to know you
The specific questions we ask will depend on the position you’re applying for, but all our questions are intended to help us see your capabilities and potential to grow. Generally, we look for a strong desire to learn, high intelligence, a passion for technology, willingness to work hard, rock-solid skills, an entrepreneurial spirit and, of course, a desire to be the best!
Did you know?
- You don’t need to dress up to impress us. Wear whatever makes you most comfortable.
- You’ll meet with your potential coworkers and team. Ask them questions. We’re the best way to find out what it’s really like to work here.
- You’ll typically meet for up to an hour each with three to six people during your interviews. Come well-rested and eat a good breakfast!
- You’ll have a chance to look around. We'll make sure you have time to see campus and get a feel for the area that may soon become your home.
What is your acceptance rate?
We typically interview three to five finalists per position. Many groups conduct an electronic-screen or phone interview to get to our final list.
Who will I interview with?
In most cases, you’ll interview with people on two teams within a single product group or two different teams working on entirely different products. We try to find the best fit based on the teams’ business needs and your skills and interests.
Will I have free time during my site visit?
The maximum length of your interview trip is three days and two nights. If you’d like more time, just email your interview scheduler and let him or her know your circumstances, so we can look into extending your stay.
