Software Engineer - Simplygon Studios - Linkoping
Microsoft's Simplygon Studios is the developer of the state of the art 3D optimization technology platform used in Microsoft's 3D for everyone initiative. We are a high-energy team with a love for our technology and challenges involved in building the best possible solutions. Our tech is used to make complex 3D assets viewable over a wide variety of devices and scenarios. It has been proven and used in high end game development for over a decade.
We are looking for a Software Engineer who will join a team of highly skilled engineers building the next generation automatic 3D optimization pipeline. As a Software Engineer working for Simplygon Studios, we are expecting you to have experience building complex systems and a real passion for 3D graphics.
Work closely with lead engineers to development new optimization technologies for current and future visualization pipelines.
Improve exiting systems for increased functionality, reduced memory usage, and increase performance.
Collaborate with other Simplygon engineers to accomplish studio wide goals.
Keep current with the technological developments and advancements in the 3D graphics industry.

University degree in a technical discipline.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a software engineer.
Proven C++ and C# expertise.
Excellent debugging and testing skills.
Strong understanding of 3D graphics and 3D math.
Strong understanding of rendering pipelines and their bottlenecks.
Experience in game engine development.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Graphics API experience, DirectX, OpenGL or Vulcan
The work location of this role is in our office in Linkoping, Sweden.
