Senior Manager, Global Learning & Development, Delivery

Microsoft Search Advertising (MSA) is a worldwide Sales, Marketing and Services organization on the cutting edge of the digital advertising industry. We are the engine that powers the buying and selling of digital advertising across all aspects of our digital portfolio including our high-growth search engine, Bing. The MSA Worldwide Operations organization empowers the global advertising teams and our customers to reach their maximum potential via world-class training experiences.

We are seeking a top performing Senior Manager of Global Learning & Development to lead our Delivery team. This manager will lead a team of regional dynamic readiness specialists who deliver industry-leading training on Bing Ads tools, products, best practices and overall value proposition to both our customers and internal sales teams.

The individual in this role brings both experience and passion for customer and employee capability building, ultimately contributing to the MSA focus areas of building a world-class sales organization, supporting customer obsession and driving Bing Ads revenue growth. This individual will also serve as a thought leader, providing input and guidance on strategy, talent, resource management and client/ partner engagement.


Responsibilities:

Continuously drive key organizational initiatives through innovative and experiential delivery that teaches, inspires, and drives results, while measuring the impact of learning programs to ensure appropriate business outcome is achieved by linking learning objectives to key performance indicators (KPIs) and team metrics.


Team development, management and leadership. Foster an inspiring and high-performing culture supported by a clear vision, transparent communication, collaboration and a fail-fast mentality.

Develop and lead a culture of excellence. Implement team communication channels to share best practices, lessons learned and develop high morale amongst a global remote team.

Enrich and evolve the team’s own capabilities. Attract, grow and retain talent base as #1 organizational asset. Create and support a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Continually develop presentation and delivery capabilities so internal and external training audiences are met with dynamic engaging experiences.

Regularly engage with internal partners and customers to maintain a pulse on the impact of training delivery and message as needed back to Design specialists.

Deliver training opportunities using a variety of instructional techniques or formats, such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, lectures and other forms of educational technology.

Conduct regular business reviews with the team and partners to ensure operational rigor against delivery planning goals and elevate the impact of the team throughout the year. Ensure clear alignment to MSA strategic pillars.

Maintain a pipeline of top talent and continuously develop high potential talent within the team. Promote hiring best practices which optimize for diversity.


Qualifications:

      3+ years’ experience leading Learning and Development

      Relentless focus on the customer experience and innovative yet disruptive thinking

      Proven track record of exceptional performance, measured against performance feedback from peers and partners

      Proven ability to engage within the search marketing community through expert written content, past industry speaking engagements, or as thought leader within agency or search marketing organization.

      Strong decision-making & critical thinking ability.

      Manage vendor and partner relationships for selected regional delivery of core product training, ensuring the highest quality standards are met; adhering to business processes and goals.

      Capable of developing unique training/readiness content for diverse global field based on search marketing tactics.

      Versatile and engaging communicator, interacting on various professional and technical audience levels to deliver written/verbal communications across organizations

      Ability to understand a complex business, different audience perspectives and growth levers in order to formulate creative delivery of content to help drive business impact for targeted customers

      Demonstrated capability to manage and coach high performing teams

      Independent, self-driven, strong decision-making & critical thinking abilities

      Flexibility to accommodate change and thrive amid ambiguity

      Able to balance operational rigor with interpersonal needs

      Flexible and highly engaging communicator – able to engage and scale across all levels of organizations in a professional and confident manner via written/verbal communications

      Experience within interactive ad industry and/or Learning & Development preferred

      Ability to travel up to 20%

      BA/BS degree
