As a Premier Field Engineer, you will:


• Educate and guide customers by delivering workshops and training

• Help customers with their journey to the cloud

• Deliver proactive services such as risk assessments and upgrade / migration advice

• Help customers with troubleshooting and problem resolution

• Be the technical expert for customer projects and deployments

• Mentor other Premier Field Engineers

• Contribute to business goals and continuous improvement initiatives

• Travel to customer sites throughout the UK and work from home to prepare for customer visits.


Relevant Characteristics and Experience for the Premier Field Engineer Role:


• Professional experience in supporting Enterprise IT solutions

o Knowledge of Sharepoint Server 2013, 2016 & SharePoint Online - experience in managing, supporting, troubleshooting and upgrading the product.  

o Knowledge / experience of of cloud technologies: SharePoint Online

o Understanding of networking stack.  

o Awareness of associated cloud technologies in the Office365 suite such as Microsoft PoweBI, Microsoft Flow, is an advantage.  


• Collaborative, problem solver who is creative and confident

• Customer driven

• Ability to present and communicate technical findings to all audiences

• Ability to influence outcomes in ambiguous settings

• Willingness and desire to learn cloud technologies

• Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting IT issues

• Good balance between business and technical acumen
