Global Pursuit Organization-Pursuit Strategy and Governance Leader

Come join the new Enterprise Services Global Pursuit Organization!   We operate in a highly competitive environment and the ability to meet customer expectations, shape profitable deals, and lead pursuits efficiently is critical to our success as an organization.   The Global Pursuit Organization (GPO) plays a pivotal role in landing Enterprise Services Strategy with customers and enabling the continuing Digital Transformation.   As a leader in this organization, you will be focused on creating customer value through the Pursuit process, innovating how Microsoft approaches pursuit and capture management, and leading a team of high performing Services professionals.   This role reports to the Global Pursuit Organization Leader.  


The Pursuit Strategy and Governance leader is focused on providing thought leadership across all areas of the pursuit function.   In this role you will work closely with the Global Pursuit Organization leadership team to craft strategy and play a central role in landing the strategy within the GPO and among the key partner organizations.   This will include executive level collaboration with domain, sales, and service center leadership to define pursuit strategy and land the strategic vision necessary to deliver high quality and efficient pursuits on a global scale.  


This role requires a dynamic personality who can work successfully in a diverse environment and drive clarity and reduce ambiguity.   Commitments for this role include:


• Pursuit Strategy:   Develop and land Pursuit strategies for the Global Pursuit Organization across the global time zones and develop and drive control to provide a predictable pursuit engagement experience with partner stakeholders.  

• Executive Collaboration:   Lead planning and strategy development with leaders across the Pursuit ecosystem to drive efficient organizational integration, improve deal velocity and reduce the cost of sale.  

• Leadership:   Coach a high performing team to meet Global Pursuit Organization key priorities and support thoughtful career planning with your direct reports.  

• Continuous Improvement:   Identify and lead efficiency improvements across the Global Pursuit Organization


The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success curating high impact ideas and applying strong analytic skills and strategic frameworks to land complex business decisions.  


Required Qualification:

• 10+ years of strategy, consulting, or business planning experience in a professional services business.


Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree

• Must have a proven record of delivering the full life cycle of services (strategy, consulting, support) from pre-sales through delivery in organizations of similar size and complexity

• History of successfully leading senior delivery leaders with strong people management skills on a global scale

• Candidates must have a deep understanding of markets, customers and related technology; have the background to provide leadership in the practice and a demonstrated effectiveness in consulting and client management.

• Background in solving large and complex customer issues successfully working directly with senior leaders (customer and internal stakeholders) to resolve

• Deep understanding of the delivery skills, methods and tools required for success
