Senior Project Manager

Microsoft Consulting Services Cybersecurity Team is searching for an experienced services Project Management professional to lead delivery of groundbreaking Cybersecurity projects at some of Microsoft’s largest enterprise customers.


As a Project Manager you will provide relevant, clear and prescriptive advice, grounded in experience, to continuously drive these programs to successful completion.   We are a team of trusted advisors that help customers realize their full potential through accelerated adoption and productive use of Cybersecurity mitigations. We actively drive communications with leadership that help our customers achieve their Cybersecurity objectives. You will be responsible for leading engagement delivery within a formal Statement of Work (SOW) to drive predictable outcomes, delivery excellence, engagement quality and customer delight.


Role responsibilities include:

•      Accountable for the overall success of the cybersecurity program, ensuring alignment with customer critical priorities  

•      Lead cybersecurity teams in responding to cybersecurity incidents to mitigate immediate and potential threats. Uses mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery approaches to improve survival of life, preservation of property, and information security. Investigates and analyzes all relevant response activities

•      Leads cybersecurity strategic recovery teams in developing and implementing the appropriate activities to maintain plans for resilience and to restore any capabilities or services that were impaired due to a cybersecurity event  

•      Leads cybersecurity detection teams in implementing strategies to identify the occurrence of a cybersecurity events  

•      Provides leadership, management, direction, or advocacy so the organization may effectively conduct cybersecurity work  

•      Develops staffing strategies to support cybersecurity implementation  

•      Aids in the integration of partner cyber teams by providing mentorship, resources, and collaboration to facilitate organizational support for achieving objectives in integrated cyber actions  

•      Develops cyberspace plans, strategy and policy to support and align with organizational missions and initiatives  


Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years relevant project and/or program management experience

• Knowledge and experience in delivering services engagements across the Cybersecurity Lifecycle (Protect, Detect, Respond, Recover)  

• Expertise executing cybersecurity crisis management and risk management  

• Demonstrated capability in leading large, global, complex cybersecurity services implementations from sales through delivery  

• Senior level cybersecurity program leader who has held delivery leadership roles within a global services organization or Fortune 500 corporation  

• Strong executive presence and demonstrated ability to build, extend and maintain senior client relationships with CIO, CEO and CFO executive steering committee members

• Experience crafting high quality relevant cybersecurity services sales, contracting, marketing, and delivery material  

• Extraordinary communication, team building, and mentoring skills

• Solid project management and leadership skills delivering cybersecurity projects on time, within budget, and with high customer delight  

• Ability to provide direction and collaborate with multiple teams and business unit in a crisis cybersecurity situation  

• Strong organizational communication and presentation skills    

• Ability to react dynamically and provide thought leadership in challenging cybersecurity incident situations  

• Degree in Business, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or 4 years of equivalent work experience.

• Relevant industry certifications (CISSP, PMP) preferred.

• Travel 50% within the Americas
