Program Manager - Web User Experience

Responsibilities:

•Help build the vision and “North Star” for the future of Microsoft’s technical websites using a customer and data-driven approach.

•Define the specifications for key website UX features like code interactivity, video tutorials, site search, commenting, user profiles, and community contributions.

•Build iterative feature designs that are validated by customer feedback and live-site A/B tests.

•Drive and plan multiple projects simultaneously, and communicate status to partners and executive leadership.

•Use customer interviews, A/B testing, and site telemetry to understand, define, and evaluate success.

•Work and collaborate closely with project managers, UX/UI designers, IA experts and content teams as part of the creative process.

•Build a plan to integrate worldwide community contributions for content on these sites.    


Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

•2+ years of industry experience.

•2 years’ experience building feature specifications or hands-on development of responsive, front-end web experiences using HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.

•Working knowledge of server-side languages like ASP.NET, Node.js, or Java.

•Experience designing for large-scale global websites including web performance/optimization, mobile/responsive design, globalization, localization, and accessibility.

•Experience with A/B testing and analytics for feature validation is helpful, but not required.

•Proven project management, organization, and planning skills with attention to detail.

•Strong written and interpersonal skills.
