These experiences are tightly integrated into Fabric to support modern applications and operational decision-making in real time.</p><p>The Eventstream team owns the connectivity and streaming foundation that brings real-time data into Microsoft Fabric. Eventstream helps customers ingest, transform, and route high-volume event data from Apache Kafka, event brokers, messaging systems, and other sources.</p><p>We are hiring a Principal Product Manager to lead the Eventstream Kafka endpoint product area. This role will own the strategy, roadmap, delivery, competitive positioning, and customer engagement for the area. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.</p></div><br><br><b>Responsibilities</b><br><div><ul><li>Own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and success measures for Eventstream's Kafka endpoint area, connecting short-term delivery plans with the long-term growth of Fabric Real-Time Intelligence.</li><li>Lead the area from customer discovery through general availability and growth, making investment and prioritization decisions across platform capabilities, user experience, reliability, scale, and interoperability.</li><li>Partner with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Security, and other teams to deliver a compelling Kafka-compatible solution.</li><li>Develop a competitive strategy using customer insights, product telemetry, and market analysis to guide product decisions.</li><li>Build relationships with customers and partners, translate streaming requirements into product direction, and use previews and design partnerships to validate solutions before broad release.</li><li>Drive adoption and business outcomes through product positioning, field readiness, technical storytelling, and go-to-market planning, while defining AI-assisted experiences that make real-time data easier to connect, manage, and use.</li><li>Embody our culture and values.</li></ul></div><br><br><b>Qualifications</b><br><div><h2>Required/Minimum Qualifications</h2><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.</li></ul><h3>Other Requirements</h3><p>Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements is required for this role.
