The cloud is at the core of Microsoft’s future, and the Windows Azure Operating System is at the core of Microsoft’s cloud platform. We are a small, agile team responsible for delivering v1 of a new virtualization technology for Windows Azure.
You may already have heard of the codename Drawbridge (http://drawbridge>), an innovative new hosting model that offers a unique opportunity to:

As a Software Development Engineer in Test you will be part and will work closely with the Windows Azure Operating System team, your mission will be to ensure the new platform is performing reliably, it is fully secure, always available, can scale on-demand, and engineered to withstand the unparalleled computing demand from the customer workloads. You will be required to switch between kernel level to the continent level as you try to find solutions for the hard problems thrown at your way every day from Azure customers around the world. Key to success in this position is flexibility, aptitude to zoom up and down the software stack, think creatively to come up with innovative ways of testing Windows components in Cloud Computing environment.

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field/degree, and/or equivalent work experience
5+ years of experience in developing commercial distributed systems software
Proficient in C/C++ and working knowledge of C#\scripting is acceptable
Experience with operating systems and data bases while Virtualization will be a plus.
Fluency in coding, rapid prototyping, ability to quickly adapt to and adopt changes.
Expertise in analyzing debugging and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems will be preferred.
