Microsoft's Cybersecurity Engage is a great opportunity to hear and learn first-hand from Security and Compliance pros at Microsoft. Students get to interact, exchange ideas, and participate in various challenges which is a great learning experience.

This is a 23 sessions long learning journey spread across 5 weeks that is specially curated for students with keen interest in the space of cybersecurity to accelerate their growth and foster their industry-relevant skills while getting cybersecurity certified via Microsoft. The program will be inclusive of learning sessions, leader talks, immersive workshops, assignments, and a challenge.

How is Microsoft managing the Cybersecurity landscape?


At Microsoft, we believe that prevention is better than cure. That’s why we never underestimate the threats posed by cyber-attackers and counter them by strengthening. This drives our SCIM team (Security, Compliance, and Identity Management) to predict and prevent advanced malicious cyber threats proactively.

What exactly do we do?

Cyber-attackers have evolved, and so have the ways to keep them at bay. With Microsoft 365 Defender (M365D), we help enterprises promptly detect, investigate and respond to advanced attacks or security breaches in their network. Our team brings insights about the attack to the table and creates the innovations that help us locate them.

Fight cyber-attacks as a Threat Researcher

One of the most important qualities a Threat Researcher must possess is deciphering the psyche of the cyber-attackers. They should understand the pattern, the loopholes which have the potential of an unethical breach. A Threat Researcher must keep themselves updated with the latest attack techniques, Scripting, Penetration Testing, Malware, and Multiple Security Products.
