Join the international Azure Platform Operations Sovereign team as a Senior Technical Program Manager/Boundary Manager and play a crucial role in managing the boundary between Sovereign and Public clouds.

The Azure Platform Operations Team is actively seeking a dedicated and dynamic professional to play an essential role in connecting Public Azure with the Sovereign cloud. In this pivotal role, you will work intimately with stakeholders and the Azure Global Engineering Leadership to manage and sustain the vital elements of this connection, guaranteeing the seamless provision of these cloud services and fostering robust communication with our esteemed clients. 

This position offers an unparalleled opportunity to build and leverage your strong understanding of Azure, Microsoft services and/or technical approaches to further develop and evolve the cloud operations strategy for Azure.

Qualifications

Qualifications 

Required: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent and hands-on experience in providing operations support to complex IT environments. 
  • Fluency with the German and English language skills.  
  • Experience in the role as Data Protection Officer (DPO), Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) or CISO Deputy. 
  • Experience in data visualisation, such as Azure Data Explorer, or other analytics/data exploration services. 
  • Experience with BSI frameworks such as: C5,  IT-Grundschutz based on IS027001, Mindesstandards, Cloud Platform Requirements and the mapping of those standards to international frameworks such as NIST and FedRAMP 

Preferred: 

  • CISSP/CISM certification or equivalent. 
  • An understanding of risk management. 
  • Expertise in analysingdistributed systems and critical production service environments. 
  • Experience in DevOps lifecycle. 
  • Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or any other Cloud Certification.

  • You will be responsible for being an expert in how we develop and implement robust security, privacy, and compliance practices, aligned with accreditation authority standards, utilizing your extensive audit experience. 
  • You will support the design and execution of a unified control framework, customized to meet the specific requirements of local certification and controls. 
  • You will deputise for the Compliance Manager supporting the strategic planning and execution of compliance analysis, control mapping, audits, and dashboards, leveraging your expertise in international framework mapping for compliance success. 
  • Manage critical stakeholder engagements, including calls and meetings that may occur outside of standard business hours, while fostering collaboration with international teams. 
  • Cultivate and expand professional relationships with international engineering teams. 
  • Utilize your well-honed playbook, developed from years of experience in supporting accreditations and managing compliance for large-scale systems. 
  • Navigate the BSI landscape with ease, bringing significant experience in managing the testing, certification, and accreditation of IT products and services.
