Compensation opportunity at Microsoft

 

At Microsoft, each role is defined by discipline (the type of work) and career stage (scope and complexity within a discipline), and each role may be associated with multiple levels (scope, complexity, expectations, pay opportunity within career stages). Compensation elements are aligned with these factors. The provided range reflects the potential base pay across the country for the role ; Individual base pay depends on various factors, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

 

Certain roles are eligible for annual rewards*. Annual Rewards are one way that we recognize impact. At the end of each fiscal year, you may be eligible for merit increase and an annual bonus based on your start date, your performance in the fiscal year, and company eligibility rules. You may also be eligible for future awards under the Stock Award Program offered by Microsoft Corporation, at its discretion.  In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role. Annual bonuses, stock awards, and sales incentives are determined by role and/or level and cannot be adjusted during the hiring process, as this approach reflects our commitment to competitive and equitable pay.

 

Benefits/perks listed may vary depending on the nature of employment with Microsoft and the work location.  Belgium-based employees have access to healthcare supplementary insurance, a company pension plan with Microsoft contribution, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), life and disability insurance, eco vouchers, meal allowance, and wellbeing benefits, among others. They also receive up to 10 paid holidays and 20 vacation days per year as well as parental/adoption leave and family caregiver leave.
