The goal of our military pathway is to identify the tens of thousands of transitioning service members for datacenter roles. We provide access to high-quality training, education, and mentorship led and facilitated by Microsoft CO+I personnel.
Who should apply?
Transitioning service members approved to participate in a Skillbridge Program.
Military Pathway Experience:
- 1 Week Hiring Our Heroes (HoH) Orientation
- Training includes CMCO Training, On-Site Training, NFPA-70e, and OSHA 10 Certifications.
- 12-week virtual experience with one week on-site.
- 2 Weeks Onboarding (Microsoft/CO+I)
- 8 weeks virtual training (10-4 most days)
- 1 week onsite in Boydton, VA (travel covered by Microsoft; location may change each cohort)
- Full-time interviews during the fellowship

The Neurodiversity Hiring Program (NDHP) started in 2015 with the goal to solve the “front door” experience for neurodivergent candidates by providing a different interview approach. Recognizing that interviews are often designed for neurotypical ways of thinking, we aim to help remove barriers that neurodivergent individuals may face during interviews and offer the right support, allowing candidates to showcase their unique talents while considering Microsoft as a preferred employer.
Who should apply?
Neurodivergent candidates interested in pursuing a full-time opportunity as a CET or DCT at Microsoft.

Datacenter Technician
Looking after the technology
Handle hardware start-ups and shut-downs, perform basic trouble-shooting and diagnostics, quality checks and changes, ensuring everything is safe, secure, and up to standard.
Datacenter Inventory and Asset Technician
Looking after the logistics
Manage and document incoming/outgoing deliveries, co-ordinate security, and work with suppliers and vendors to ensure what happens on site, and what goes in and out is all correct.
Critical Environment Technician
Looking after the environment
Maintain all the essential equipment that surrounds and powers datacenter; things like heating, ventilation, water, air-conditioning, electrical supply and distribution.
